The corporation is essentially a rouge AI whose only utility function is profit. And, just like in the (in)famous paperclip paradox, it will not hesitate to disassemble each and every human down to the very atoms to achieve its goal.
So much for the trasnhumanist dream of taming superintelligent AIs, I guess...
