Nope, I copied the letters on pieces of paper, cut them and followed the lines with a pencil before painting them
@bluberrycookie The result is great. Did you use acrylic paint or special fabric paint?
Fabric :) but I use acrylics too sometimes and turns out as well as fabric colour
@bluberrycookie I do the same with leather, i mainly use leather paint but sometimes i add some acrylic paint for the details or for color i don't have in leather paint.
