As probably everyone reasonable now agree that there will be a second round of presidential Turkey-elections on May 28th, Sinan Oğan the "former" Fascist party member which placed third in the first round at about 5% of the votes, has now given several interviews and statements wherein the Fascist gives two conditions for throwing official support at either of the remaining 2 candidates,
• must throw out the anti-racist Peoples' Party (HDP)
• must deport all Syrian refugees

Dictator Erdoğan (AKP) was already working on both of those for many years, by e.g.
the war crime of forcibly mass-deporting Syrian refugees originating in southern Syria to the now Turkey-occupied parts of northern Syria in order to enact demographic change in the areas being illegally annexed and
mass-imprisonment of members of the exclusively parliamentary HDP essentially for the act of attempting a peaceful path to resolving the "Kurdish question" (to genocide or not to genocide?) through peaceful co-existence in diversity.

The other runoff round candidate, CHP's Kılıçdaroğlu called to congratulate the Fascist on getting many votes many hours before Erdoğan started pandering for those ~5%,
because the CHP can't forget its genocidal past even when its future depends on campaigning against anything like it.

@aral I briefly went onto Twitter to read commentary on the Turkish elections, 90% of tweets were pro Erdogan which I don't believe for a second especially based on the urban rural split. Really brought home to me how biased Twitter timelines now are.

For the elections dictator Erdoğan's interview propaganda was broadcast on 2̲4̲ TV channels at the same time.
turkishminute.com/2023/05/13/k

Main State-propaganda channel TRT gave Erdoğan 32 hours of coverage, while opposition electoral alliance candidate Kılıçdaroğlu just 32 minutes in one month.

Google recommended pro-government media outlets in Turkey 81% of the time.
"Every day, around two million people search for the Turkish words "haberler (news)" and "son dakika (breaking news)" on Google and see the content suggested by the algorithm. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is the only politician who was suggested more than 5,000 times."
duvarenglish.com/google-excess

The birdsite too decided to gag opposition ahead of the elections.

Meanwhile, "Erdogan accuses Turkish opposition of working with Biden".

As everyone watches to see what will happen in the Turkish elections today, we remember the Gezi Park Uprising, ten years ago this month.

#Turkey deserves better than the autocrat Erdoğan! Elections alone will not suffice to win freedom. Solidarity to all those in struggle.🏴

I'll just point out for anyone anxious about the results of the presidential election today whereby Turkey might finally get free from the incredibly incompetent authoritarian reactionary rule of Erdoğan,
that it is probable that there will be another round of voting on May 28, as there are 3 current candidates (were 4 but one withdrew blaming attacks, but probably due to poor pre-votes polling) and unless one candidate gets at least 50%+1 vote there will be another round.

The last pre-voting opinion poll by "tag" during May 11-13 showed this situation:
52.1% Main opposition alliance candidate
45.1% Dictator Erdoğan
2.6% Former member of Fascist-party MHP
0.2% The candidate that quit
But today there are armored State-violence vehicles parked outside the election voting stations so that will affect actual voting and the regime is expected to cheat this time again as was done extremely obvious (e.g. mass-scale discarding of opposition votes and factory-style stamping of replacement pro-regime ballots recorded in videos recorded inside several polling stations then opposition-vote ballots found in smoldering piles of ash outside) during previous elections.

For the election in Turkey,

According to reports, around 6 thousand trucks and 30 buses are kept waiting at the border crossing."

For a regime that has been habitually almost openly cheating and coercing for >decade,
this is... "very probably" yet another act intended to sabotage the ongoing elections,
probably at least intended to rob Kurds, Arabs, etc that may have been visiting officially "Iraq" areas, Iran, or beyond through Iraq, of their votes, because the sitting regime is nothing if not scared of diversity.
