Dietro all'entusiasmo delle nuove tecnologie c'è altro.

By now, many of you have seen the footage of the monk (or mud wizard) facing off with hapless riot police during the defense of #Lutzerath this past weekend.
If you have not seen it, treat yourself to it now:

In fact, this mysterious figure already appeared in 2018, during the defense of the ZAD (the "Zone to Defend," a longtime squatted area where the residents blocked the construction of an airport) at Notre-Dame-des-Landes.
According to le Monde, the police ambushed the monk among a group of other defenders. The monk threw three buckets of water at the police, proclaiming "I baptize you in the name of the ZAD!" In the ensuing chaos, he made off with one of their batons.
To learn more about the #ZAD:
Victory to the mud wizards! Defend the earth!
For those who do not wish to visit Twitter under any conditions, even to see monks or mud wizards face off with police, we include the footage from #Lutzerath here.
So, just to avoid any confusion, when you run Windows 11, the product you are using is Windows 10. The Windows version is 2009 (which of course doesn't fall between versions 2008 and 2016, duh). So if you are using Windows Server 2022, the product is called 2022 but the version is 2009 because those two numbers seem like the same but they aren't.
The "Windows Current Version" for Windows 11 is 6.3. But don't use that number because Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 were also version 6.3. Windows 8 was 6.2.
Or if you want, just use build number 22621, also known as 22H2. The version 22H2 update is also called the "Windows 11 2022 update" because there never was a 22H1. But at least they changed their naming scheme and didn't call it Fall update because it was spring in half the world when it came out, heh.

Turns out that Adobe is collecting all of its customers' pictures into a machine learning training set.
This is opt-out, not opt-in so if you use Lightroom, for example, it defaults to adding all of your photos to the set.
If these are unpublished pictures, work-in-progress, etc. they'll still be analysed as soon as they're synced.
I've been using Lightroom to sync photos from my Windows desktop to my iPad. Now I need to reconsider that.

I love this rumor, so I'm repeating it. Background first:

"GRETA
"About GRETA – the Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings."
The rumor is that someone told Andrew Tate that "GRETA is looking for you", he misunderstood that as one of the right wing scumbags' favorite punching bags, Greta Thunberg, and that's why he lashed out at her, before she had anything to do with it. She simply responded.
He played himself.

Since folks asked what happens whenever I opt out of facial recognition, I documented it for you while going through US border patrol.
Coming out of the flight there was a row of kiosks for facial biometric capture. There were no people. Just kiosks. So I kept walking.
The next point of contact was the passport agents at their desks. Agent A asked me, “Did you take your photo at the kiosk?” I said, “No, I am opting out of biometric facial recognition.” And the agent asked, “Why?”
