Protests against bloody dictator al-Assad today in al-Suwayda of southwestern Syria, demanding the overthrow of the regime.

IIRC, al-Suwayda was very early to rise in the Syrian Revolution (which then was for equal freedom for all, before it became a de facto vassal and just a military auxiliary of Turkey) but the uprising for freedom there was crushed when Turkey ordered the "FSA" former revolutionaries to go north to fight for Erdoğan's imperialist expansion instead.
Now, the Erdoğan-regime has repeatedly publicly stated desire to just drop the "FSA" and remnants of the former "Syrian Revolution" to instead ally with the Assad-regime against the autonomous North and East Syria (aka "Rojava")... so maybe the south will just rise again.
One can hope.
