I can't believe it. Microsoft seem to have removed the DD/MM/YY[YY] format for dates in Excel. I've been mostly using LibreOffice, is this a new bug in excel?

My brother needs a spreadsheet program secure enough to use for patient data.

Excel is MS and works like shit on Linux.
LibreCalc has terrible UI (so by brother says).
Google Sheet is Google and is not secure enough.

Does anyone know if there’s already a petition or initiative in #Germany ot the #EU calling on higher education institutions (Universitäten and Fachhochschulen) to switch to #opensource software?

Specifically, I’m looking for efforts to stop the use of #Microsoft (Windows, Outlook, Exchange, MS Office, etc.) in administration and to move away from teaching tools like #Word,#Excel, or #visualstudio.

So langsam schließen sich die letzten Lücken in meiner Sammlung antiker Windows- und Office-Disketten. Excel 3.0a lief als letzte Excel-Fassung noch original unter Windows 3.0 und war außerdem das erste mit einer grafischen Symbolleiste! Dieses unglaubliche Feature wurde damals auch noch groß auf der Verpackung beworben!

Hier ein perfektes Set der deutschen Vollversion mit 1.2MB, 5.25 Zoll KryoFlux Images. Natürlich wieder inkl. aller IMGs und sauberer JPG-Scans sämtlicher Datenträger:

Hallo #excel|Menschen, was ist das denn? Die Kollegin weiß natürlich nicht was sie getan hat, war damit dann aber komplett lahmgelegt und konnte nichts mehr tun. Mit einmal per win + D minimieren war dann wenigstens wieder der Cursor "frei" und sie konnte speichern.
Beim Speichern hat's dann was von Zirkelbezug gesagt. (Ich war nur am Telefon, habe nichts davon gesehen)

Just need to move some left over files from #OneDrive and convert an #Excel sheet to #LibreOffice, which contains a macro that needs to be rewritten, and I won’t have to renew my Office subscription!

That means that later this year I won’t be using Microsoft stuff anymore. Google has been shown the door earlier this year. Feels good!

You can paint in Excel (so presumably also in LibreOffice Calc too).

I am genuinely boggled at how detailed the pictures are.
