draft - Tesla please give us an option to disable location tracking for 1 to 12 hours
when I goto my car, sometimes I want that as private time - to not be tracked by parents. I can understand having it on by default. but if we could get an option for an incognito mode or some shit like that, that would be much more appreciated. sometimes as human beings, we deserve the ability to go off the radar for a few hours. Tesla itself can still track, that's fine, but at least make it so the app doesn't show our location to other family members for a bit.
So, hab die 100.000 km mit dem #Model3 SR nach 32 Monaten voll. Ohne Elron könnte ich die Karre echt weiter empfehlen.

Aber wo ich so drüber nachdenke.... ich wüsste nicht was ich mir heute kaufen sollte. Entweder sind es fahrende Schrankwände, der Energieverbrauch ist höher ggü #Model3 SR, keine AHK, oder so rudimentäre Funktionen wie Remote Vorheizen gibt nicht/wackelig/für 5k Aufpreis.

Da Tesla keine Wartung vorgibt, frage ich mich ob wir hier Survivorship Bias haben. Die Mängel der anderen Hersteller könnten eventuell schon früher gefunden worden sein, wurden vor dem TÜV behoben und tauchen daher nicht auf.
Trotzdem ein katastrophales Ergebnis für Tesla.
Sadly I own a Tesla, though I am looking for a replacement. I used to love it, but that was when I was blissfully unaware of how bad Elon was (I actually think he wasn't as bad in 2018 as he is now). I also moved into a house with a smaller garage, which the Tesla barely fits in.
Today I got a survey from Tesla on the occasion of having my Model 3 for six years. On a scale of 0 to 10, I said my likelihood of recommending Tesla was zero.
@BruceMirken This selection just shows clearly that there is close to zero alternatives to a #Model3 or #ModelY from any other vendor. If you would spec them in a similar way (talking just about battery capacity and range, leaving aside the 0-60mph speed difference or the interior feats), you have to put something from $15k upwards on top of the table…

My #Tesla #Model3 is almost out of its main warranty, and I wasn’t happy with the trade in price I was offered, so….. modding time!
First thing to fix; Put the speed somewhere in my peripheral vision when driving, so that means a second screen behind the steering wheel, and, as an added bonus, I can now use #CarPlay or #AndroidAuto on that screen to the left of where the speed is rendered.

@dangillmor the lack of a physical control for selecting drive direction is equally, if not even more annoying, than the lack of the indicator stalk. One of the key reasons why I got a #Jeep #Avenger #EV rather than a #Tesla #Model3 this time: proper physical controls (though lacking buttons for turning heated seats on … grrr!).

Good timing! I happen to be in a rented #Model3 today, which has this set up. Not all Teslas have this problem: my 2016 Model S, which I bought used before Elon went quite so obviously loopy, has a different layout. The Model S won't open from the OUTSIDE if there's no power.
(And doesn't it say something that I feel the need to justify myself to strangers on the internet for the kind of car I drive?)
