Do laptops with SIM slots present them as smart card devices or are they only available to the modem?
I'm guessing smart cards as there appears to be support for eSIMs.
(Just thinking about WiFi with EAP-SIM)

Good enough ;)
I started learning about the Marauder software. I tested it on my own phone as a target. Super power in the pocket!

Made my #WiFi speed test video into a YouTube short, if you'd like to watch it there instead of here.
My brother and I have both moved to the "Flint 2" #WiFi routers from #GLiNet. I've had mine a bit and loved the range I was getting out of even our 5Ghz WiFi6 network, so when his old Linksys started having problems he decided to get one as well. His house has sheet metal siding, so I was a little concerned about the effect that might have on his range, but it seems to be doing pretty good. I turned my SIM card off to make certain I was using the WiFi for the test.
If you want to run mainline Debian on the original PineBook, the onboard WIFI will hopefully be supported soon. A patch has been accepted. Now we wait for that oh-so valuable human curation, as it migrates through the versioning process!

I dunno about you, but I feel like your car should not be sending unique identifiers out 100ft in every direction. #privacy #auto #wifi #Bluetooth

When I recently installed #FreeBSD 14.2 on the "new" #Thinkpad T15 Gen1 for my mother, I was first excited to see the installer load #iwlwifi. And later disappointed it's *still* restricted to 802.11g.
But configuring #lagg in #failover mode over lan and #wifi is an awesome feature, and as this machine will be operated almost 100% of time in a docking station connected via 1000-BaseT, its fine for now. Still hoping to see newer wifi standards supported ... I see there's work going on from bugzilla and other sources.
