I have found it. Ireland's only bus stop with both a bench and a timetable.
Just passed Classiebawn castle. Not properly a castle, because it's thoroughly 19th century, but it's a huge pile of a place. It was once owned by the Lord Mountbatten, the last Viceroy of India before he got himself blown up on his boat by the provisional IRA during The Troubles a few days before I was born.

OMW from Sligo bound for County Donegal. Not on the bus I expected, but it will get me there for a pricey 20 Euro. Donegal is the northernmost county on the Island of Ireland, but is part of the Republic of Ireland, not Northern Ireland (UK), so is considered part of "The South."
It was hit unusually hard by partition, as a lot of its road and rail to Dublin and Belfast suddenly became irrelevant. Today, there's no train service and bus service is via a narrow corridor near the coast.
