Last month's presidential election was a disappointment, to say the least. Ever since then it's felt as if the air has just been slowly leaking out of the opposition. Much of the mainstream media seems to be attempting to change course and curry favor with the new administration [Scarboroughs]. Sometimes it's hard to remember why we fight when it all seems so futile.

Well, I think the opposition is about to get its mojo back.

Digging into #Mojo is pretty neat. It's basically a nascent #Python dialect that is specifically targeting more advanced use cases (eg, ML), that brings a lot of the modern amenities in. I see features lifted from both #Scala and #Rust at a quick glance.

I don't think it's going to steal my heart away from Scala, but it does look like a Python variant I'd be more content using for serious work, ML entirely aside.

Foster's lyrics describe several #amulets or #talismans, called #mojo, which are associated with #hoodoo, an early African-American folk-magic belief system. In 1957, #MuddyWaters released the song with some different lyrics and a new musical arrangement. It was a feature of his performances throughout his career.
