Hi, I'm Lone and I'm #autistic. Like many other autistic people I'm dealing with severe #burnout, #depression and #anxiety
When I have the #spoons for it, I'm interested in a wide range of subjects like #languages #linguistics #feminism #books #history #archaeology #programming #csharp #linux #cybersecurity #infosec #privacy #music #piano #guitar #flute #knitting #embroidery #crochet #bobbinlace
I'm very #leftist, leaning towards #anarchism
For various reasons I'm very private on various #SocialMedia and a lot of my toots will probably be limited to followers
However, I do see new possibilities for being a bit more public here on Mastodon but I'm still in the process of figuring out how so if I don't let you follow me assume it's about me and not you
Earlier today I actually played around with my Raspberry Pi for the first time in over a year and now I just learned @Raspberry_Pi has joined the Fediverse. Funny coincidences...
I'm still dealing with burnout so it's still small, slow steps when learning new things but there are more good days now. Hopefully there'll be more soon.
Let me take a wild guess, the cultural thing that happened 8000 years ago was patriarchy...
(I'm not able to tell whether the research is legit so of course this interpretation has all sorts of limits.)
One of best things so far about joining the fediverse has been reconnecting to Italians and Italian culture. It has been surprisingly easy compared to using commercial social media that are so US-centric.
For example tonight I saw someone reciting a poem by Alda Merini. I go, huh, who is that, never heard that name before and do a search on her. Turns out she has the longest wikipage and I'm even more surprised I don't even know of her. So I ended up searching through my messy bookshelves to find the various volumes on Italian literature I own to see if they mention her and nope, they don't. However, they all mention her friend Giorgio Manganelli 🤔 and that's why I need the (Italian) fediverse.
@setidicessi @fran Non basta scegliere italiano come lingua per l'interfaccia. Sotto preferenze -> altro c'è una filtra lingue, così potete scegliere meglio che lingue seguire.
Today I'm reading a book called 'I bambini della Ginestra' written by Maria Rosa Cutrufelli. It's a novel about two children who witness the massacre at Portella della Ginestra in Sicily on 1st May 1947 and how it affects them afterwards.

#burnout
One of the most frustrating aspects about dealing with burnout, is how even good things affect you negatively. It's been really exciting finding the fediverse but today I'm beginning to feel the effects from it.
That means among other things that I don't have the spoons for writing out responses to things I would like to respond to, in fact it's hard just to string words together, even in my native language.
I guess I just want to say that I'm still around even if I'm going silent and I'll be hitting the favorite button a lot to show I'm listening and want to be a part of the various communities as much as my body and brain will let me.
