Older of a postage stamp design featuring a red-spotted , done in the style of a 15th century woodcut.

I love blennies, they are amazing!

Digitial illustration of the head of a red-spotted blenny on a post stamp. The blenny is a white fish covered in small red-orange splotches. It has big round red eyes with bright blue stripes on them, and a short snout, which makes it look almost insect-like. The two antennae-like feelers sticking out from the top of its head emphasize this look even further. The illustration is done in the style of a 15th century wood cut, with thick black lines indicating shadow and structure.

On the subject of red-spotted blennies, a year or so later I actually drew another one, this time as an oil portrait encased in a pendant.

Photo of an oval resin pendant in which an oil portrait of a red-spotted blenny (described in more detail in the previous post) is encased. The blenny is viewed from the front, and it has an open mouth with downturned corners, so it looks a bit like it is dismayed. The background of the painting is black, and there are some gold flakes sprinkled on top of it. A golden clasp is attached to the the top of the pendant, so it can be attached to a necklace.
