I'm interested in translation of all sorts.
In English translations 'A l'ombre...' has becomes "In a Budding Grove."
This below suggests "In full bloom" :

'In the shadow of girls in full bloom' looks just fine to me.
But the title was that of translator Moncrieff in 1922. Perhaps he had to be less direct in those days.
