I have a treat for you...
My new portfolio featuring Torridon and Applecross in the Scottish Highlands is now live! https://www.iancylkowski.com/the-scottish-highlands/torridon-applecross
These photos taken all the way back in October 2016, when I was still using a Nikon D7000. I've only ever been to this part of the Scottish Highlands once, and I YEARN to go back again.
@IanCykowski These are gorgeous. Landscape photography at it’s best.
@Linda Awww, thanks Linda!
Was too exhausted last night to type anything, but yes these are gorgeous - and yes, you must go back!
I still have my D7100. What are you using these days?
@ArdentArchivist D7100 is still solid!
These days I'm on a Sony A7II.
My camera journey:
- Nikon D60
- Nikon D7000
- Sigma dp0 Quattro
- Fujifilm X-T2
- Sony A7II
Ah, I’ve known other people make the move to the A7 ecosystem and rave about it.
You took the scenic route, camera-wise, to get there! So long as you’re happy with it, that’s all that matters - you’d still be taking kickass foties, no matter the camera.
@ArdentArchivist I think my transition from Nikon through Sigma and Fujifilm was me seeking more "film-like" quality in my ages.
But ultimately I wanted a full-frame and the Sony A7II, released in 2014 and purchased in 2023, presented an affordable opportunity to get into full-frame.
So help me if Sigma ever released a Foveon-based full-frame camera...
@IanCykowski
Stunning pictures........
