@amerpie Congrats Lou! I have been following for almost a year I think and found some cool apps I still use today, thanks to you, like Applite, topgrade and Reminders Menubar
Btw if you don't know Sentinel, it's a nice app to easily unquarantine apps that you test https://github.com/alienator88/Sentinel

@amerpie Congrats. Thats so freaking great. As someone who’s been trying to get traction at my blog / newsletter I find getting discovered is the hardest part. Was there a specific thing you can point to that got you on the radar?
@Aaron The biggest boost was from cross posting on Reddit. You have the be careful because it’s got a prickly culture but done right, it can really help.
@amerpie That’s good to know. And yeah, I know if things are posted that look like link litter / purely promotional, you’ll get eviscerated. I’ve posted a few times to Lemmy, which helps a bit. I’ll have to look more into Reddit and doing it in a respectful and rule-following manner.

@maique I can relate to the wallet woes. All of my blogging related subscriptions are starting to renew and Wonder Woman has been giving me the side eye. I told her to consider it an investment in my art!
@amerpie I also have an over-subscribbing issue and, sadly, some are left behind after only a little use. I then spend the rest of the time cursing my impulses, and thinking I could have gotten another one instead. Before just going ahead, and paying for that one as well!
@mihobu @maique I subscribed to two European cloud storage services in the same week. I have two American ones as well. I have blogs on four different platforms. Two paid weather services. So many others. I eliminated a few expensive ones though, canceling Amazon Prime, Google 1, Hulu, NYT and WaPo.
@amerpie keep it up! I’m depending on you to use all the apps so i don’t have to. :)
