Today is day 2 of the Symposium on American Indian Languages.
Yesterday was great. I think. I was mostly outside of the talks trying to halp with organization and food and stuff.
But I did get to hear O'odham, Cherokee, Kichwa and Kiowa while learning about brilliant language work happening all over the Americas
@linguistics of course, while we were in these sessions, multiple people got notifications that their NEH funding was being clawed back.
So there's that.
Day 2 of the conference is now complete, and I was able to see 0.0 talks. But one of our colleagues brought Delilah the Boston Terrier with her for snuggles and I was allowed to take Delilah for a mini-walk during one of the breaks.
Delilah really wanted to dig at the base of this plant. I wasn't sure why, but then I saw the dead dessicated lizard corpse. I required Delilah to not roll in the corpse, she was disappointed in me.
Hey there Delilah.
@amyfou Delightful Delilah!!
