Charlie the Anti-Fascist Dog<p>The case at the supreme court involving Montgomery County Maryland public schools is ridiculous. </p><p>The &quot;christians&quot; claim that they are harmed because the public school has books that acknowledge the existence of non-hetero non-cisgender people. Lying to your kids isn&#39;t a right in the constitution.</p><p>And isn&#39;t denying schools the ability to recognize the diversity in the community actually violating the rights of literally every person, even if they are straight. They would be preventing children from learning about their own community because some Christian fascist pieces of dog shit can&#39;t deal with life.</p><p>Will the court rule that it&#39;s illegal to talk about people who aren&#39;t hetero? Probably.</p>

People are afraid that change will only make things worse, because that&#39;s what we&#39;re taught as children. What I thought was fascinating was how Grandin said that the Spanish conquerors struggled with making what they were doing to indigenous people make sense with their religion. They still did all the horrible shit, but at least there was a school of thought that it&#39;s wrong. </p><p>But when it came to England, there was no such dilemma. They just colonized everything and everyone, and really didn&#39;t give a shit. </p><p>The US is of that lineage. We are born of that ideology. It is ingrained in white people at a young that we&#39;re special. That the US is special and great and totally a real country.
