@kristiedegaris I just love the fact he ad libbed the lines!

@outofcontrol Thank you so much! Hope you enjoy it

@kristiedegaris balanced but I now wonder what your feet look like. And I’m not even a foot guy 😂

@Jargoonco Ah thank you! It is so so appreciated and I really hope that you enjoy the book ❤️

@kristiedegaris I am sure I will. Everything you have posted has been beautifully written. I’m a 40 something sober woman, I think a few things will resonate.

@Jargoonco Ah well then yes, I think we'll have a fair bit in common! And thank you!

@richardinsandy I'm glad you saw it too! Thank you so much!!

You forgot to add your coloured language ;)

@kristiedegaris now you're going to get asked for links to your Only Feet account...

@xinit And for a fee I can provide them

@kristiedegaris Okay, sent a mail to the local friendly book shop to see what it would cost there. I’ve sadly made bad experiences with ordering foreign books locally from not a big chain.

@toni Absolutely understandable. Let me know what they say!

@kristiedegaris Thalia (big German chain) offers it for 18,99€. That would be okay, but I’d prefer to buy at the independent store if it’s not much more expensive for supply chain reasons.

@toni I fully support shopping at a local indie but also understand how much pricing factors into where people shop.

@kristiedegaris Yeah. I also understand that small independent stores don’t have access to the international distribution networks like franchises do. I also don’t need to pay double price for a book again, because I didn’t ask for the price first.

German small bookstores are in a relatively good situation, because German publishers get to set customer book prices by law. So at least they don’t have to compete with Amazon on the price front. That’s not true for international books, though. And small publishers are struggling, because while Amazon and Thalia can’t *sell* their books for less, they still want to *buy* them for less.

@toni Yes! That's an issue here too. It makes it difficult for authors to be paid decently. It's just one of the reasons I encourage everyone to ship indie! Or ask their local library to order the book once it's out!

@kristiedegaris this book obviously helping you to put some foot on the table

@ivanrancic 🤣🤣 or my feet helping me to put some book on your table
