Been wondering about the Chinese #Koop diesel engine some of the mini diggers come with. Single cylinder air-cooled diesel engine. Sounds absolutely awful, but then single-cylinder diesels always do.

The 2-cyl watercooled one is slightly less terrifying but even louder.
They also make them with Kubota engines, at a significant markup, but may be worth it. This thing sounds like it's going to fire a piston into orbit any moment.
Bit more research. Apparently the 1-cylinder air cooled Koop 192F is absolute crap and there's loads of them that failed early (under 200 hours).
It also vibrates so much that it chafed a hole through the steel fuel tank.
So best to avoid that version engine on mini-diggers. They also come with Briggs-Stratton petrol engines and Kubota 3-cylinder diesels.
