Ambulanze, cortili degli ospedali e carovane dell’ONU che tentavano di distribuire medicine sono state colpite. Nei maggiori ospedali hanno dovuto scavare fosse comuni perché si era sotto tiro nel portare i defunti ai cimiteri. Molti pazienti sono morti per mancanza di operatività dei macchinari di cura intensiva tra cui almeno 14 neonati ad Al Shifa e 4 ad Al Nasser. Molti, per mancanza di presidi medicali, hanno subito amputazioni che in condizioni normali sarebbero state evitate.Sono morti pazienti in dialisi e malati di cancro, per mancanza di medicinali ed elettricità per i macchinari .
