checking in to let y’all know am doing well. i’ve just been lost in a whirlwind of productivity with that damn #obsidian app.
JFC this is what my #ADHD addled brain needed all thesr years. every vault i have set up is like a separate app, thanks to the myriad plugins developed for it.
i still don't have pat down a daily workflow, and that's what i’ve been focusing on these past weeks; but hot damned, I FEEL SEEN with this app. it ain't prefect, but i feel seen.

y’all know why i didn’t check-in in over a week? because i was avoiding getting distracted by the news.

do you know what that means? #Mastodon is now my main source of #news. WORLDWIDE NEWS, not just #USpol but EVERYTHAAAANG.
so if i, Liza Sabater ―who was once a news source myself, for more than a decade, at the Xitter deadbird―, am getting all my news via Mastodon.social, that means we did it!
we do have a world #news platform on the #fediverse.
@audioflyer79@mstdn.social@blogdiva same here, Liza. Mastodon has become my only social media and pretty much only news. I use #flipboard and #RSS feeds to bring what I want here.
@audioflyer79 Hey, would you mind explaining how that process works? I haven't done rss feeds for ages, and I'm a little confused about how to use flipboard in conjunction with mastodon...

#Flipboard has a ton of accounts right here on Mastodon, for example @npr. I also found @birb which lets you add any #RSS feed as an account to follow on Mastodon. I'm sure there are other ways. #RSSFeed

So, when you sign up for rss feed via @ birb, does it (potentially) overwhelm your timeline? If so, I suppose you could put those feeds into an exclusive list to keep it manageable...
@themossygreen I actually am mainly using RSS to follow people on BlueSky who are not bridging. I can’t reply to them, but I can see their posts here. Only annoying thing is the generic RSS icon for the accounts.
