Just stumbled upon #jrnl (https://jrnl.sh). Is anyone else using it? Seems like a nice way to quickly log thoughts/activities #journaling
@wilw That looks really cool to be fair.
@kev Yeah it does look interesting. I'm gonna give it a go for a few days and see how I get on!
@wilw I thought about it, but I’d be most likely to journal before bed, on my phone or tablet. So I think I’d prefer just a really simple website to manage it. Don’t need all the bells and whistles of apps like Day One.
I don’t think something that simple exists though. Literally just a text box with the ability to add and view entries.
@kev have you tried #memos (https://www.usememos.com/)? I used to use it but fell out of the habit!
It’s basically a feed of entries and notes. It supports multiple users but you can just use it by yourself with no problem.
@kev (for some reason, the demo version logins don’t seem to work right now, but it’s simple to run yourself to try out)
@wilw Hmmm looks interesting, but more like a note taking app than a journal. Actually reminds me a lot of Bear - I might look to replace it.
I’ve been doing PHP courses in my spare time (thanks Udemy) so might try and build something myself. Could be a fun little project while I’m off…
