Η στάση ανοχής της #frontex του Ευρωπαϊκού Οργανισμού Συνοριοφυλακής και Ακτοφυλακής, απέναντι στις παράνομες επαναπροωθήσεις αιτούντων άσυλο από τις ελληνικές Αρχές, πιθανόν να συνέβαλε στη δημιουργία μιας «αίσθησης ατιμωρησίας» στην Ελλάδα.

Αυτό παραδέχθηκε ο εκτελεστικός διευθυντής της Frontex, Χανς Λέιτενς, σε συνέντευξή του στο πλαίσιο της διασυνοριακής έρευνας που δημοσιεύει το @wearesolomon.bsky.social από κοινού με BIRN (Βαλκάνια) και Pointer (Ολλανδία).

Ο Ολλανδός Λέιτενς ανέλαβε να αποκαταστήσει την φήμη του καλύτερα χρηματοδοτούμενου ευρωπαϊκού οργανισμού (σχεδόν 1 δις ευρώ ετησίως) τον Ιούνιο του 2023. Ο προκάτοχός του, Φαμπρίς Λετζερί, είχε μόλις εξωθηθεί σε παραίτηση, καθώς τεκμηριώθηκε πως υπό την ηγεσία του η Frontex συγκάλυπτε συστηματικά τις παράνομες επαναπροωθήσεις προσφύγων στο Αιγαίο.

Angesichts steigender Ankunftszahlen auf #Kreta sind die bisherigen Strukturen dem Bedarf nicht mehr gewachsen und selbst die Beamten der Hafenwache von #Iraklio beschweren sich über die unmenschlichen Haftbedingungen und warnen vor einer "hygienischen Zeitbombe".

Auf einer Fläche von nur 70m², ohne richtige Belüftung, Heizung oder Klimaanlage, sind bis zu 100 Personen zusammengesperrt, mit chemischen Toiletten im gleichen Raum.

Τώρα που οι "εμπρηστές" της Μόριας αποδείχτηκαν αθώοι, ευκαιρία να θυμηθούμε τα καθάρματα, που από θεσμικες θέσεις παραβίαζαν το τεκμήριο αθωότητας των προσφύγων...

UPD: Από τους έξι αρχικά κατηγορούμενους, ποινές φυλάκισης έχουν εκτίσει οι τρεις. Οι δύο ανήλικοι, που ήδη αποφυλακίστηκαν, ενώ στη φυλακή παραμένει ακόμα ένας που στο Εφετείο είδε την ποινή του να μειώνεται από τα δέκα στα οχτώ έτη. Οι δύο ανήλικοι ήδη έχουν προσφύγει στο Ευρωπαϊκό Δικαστήριο Δικαιωμάτων του Ανθρώπου, κάτι που αναμένεται να κάνουν και οι τρεις πρόσφατα αθωωθέντες καθώς και ο τελεσίδικα καταδικασμένος.

Έξι περιστατικά υποσιτισμού σε παιδιά από 6 μηνών έως 6 ετών στο στρατόπεδο συγκέντρωσης Σάμου.

Το αρμόδιο υπουργείο αρνήθηκε πως η κατάσταση των παιδιών οφείλεται σε υποσιτισμό και κάνει λόγο για «άλλες αιτίες».

Charges were only based on a faked written testimony mentioning first names.They have been convicted twice before and were eventually recognized last year as minors. The juvenile court finally decided about their innocence. It is a scandal that these boys lost almost 5 years of their lives for the failures of the #EU and the Greek State.

Their lawyer Zacharias Kesses: A fair trial was finally held through an exemplary judicial process. An unthinkable miscarriage of justice was corrected, and three individuals—unjustly targeted and imprisoned for nearly four years—were unanimously acquitted. Justice prevailed.

Οι 3 από τους 6 που κατηγορούνταν για το κάψιμο της Μόριας και είχαν παραπεμφθεί στο δικαστήριο ανηλίκων αθωώθηκαν.

Με τα λόγια του δικηγόρου τους:

"8 Σεπτεμβρίου 2020. Πυρκαγιές καταστρέφουν ολοσχερώς τη Μόρια, τον μεγαλύτερο προσφυγικό καταυλισμό της Ευρώπης. Για αυτή την πράξη στοχοποιήθηκαν έξι νεαροί Αφγανοί — πέντε εκ των οποίων ανήλικοι. Χωρίς επαρκή στοιχεία, διασύρθηκαν, θυματοποιήθηκαν, κατηγορήθηκαν για όλα. Το τεκμήριο αθωότητας ποδοπατήθηκε.
Ακολούθησαν δίκες που απείχαν πολύ από το να χαρακτηριστούν δίκαιες.
Χθες, το Τριμελές Δικαστήριο Ανηλίκων Μυτιλήνης μετά από πολύωρη υποδειγματική διαδικασία αθώωσε ομόφωνα τους τρεις εντολείς μου.
Μετά από 3 χρόνια, 5 μήνες και 22 ημέρες άδικου εγκλεισμού σε φυλακές ενηλίκων.
Μετά από 1.662 ημέρες σε πλήρη δικαστική ομηρεία.
Η υπόθεσή τους θα μείνει στη μνήμη μου ως μία από τις πιο χαρακτηριστικές αποτυχίες του συστήματος να προστατεύσει έγκαιρα αθώους.
Η υπεράσπισή τους αποτελεί για μένα τίτλο τιμής."

He faces charges of smuggling and the possibility of a life sentence—all because he handed out food and helped refill fuel during a desperate journey across the Mediterranean. He is one of nearly 40 very young Sudanese refugees, aged 17 to 20, currently held in Avlona Youth Prison on smuggling charges, threatened with life sentences.

The Aegean graveyard has claimed 8 more innocent lives.

Greek authorities state, as they always do, that the responsibility lies on the "ruthless smugglers in Turkey", who placed these people in a “floating Coffin”. Even before an investigation has taken place,they have already made up their conclusions, also not unusual, since these shipwrecks are never properly investigated by independent bodies.
We register that one of the vessels involved in the rescue operation, a Lambro 57, ID number ΛΣ-602, its crew notoriously known for its extreme violent behaviour towards refugees, involved in numerous documented violent pushbacks in the area for years, ramming rubber boats, shooting towards people, towing boats back to Turkey, and forcing people violently into life rafts at sea. Perhaps this was the vessel “on patrol” and “detected” the boat last night?

From the footage published of the rubber boat, the bottom is torn off from the front and all the way to the back on the right side, could this damage have been the result of something other than poor quality of the boat, like a heavy impact caused by a collision?

Am Dienstagabend wurden an der Nordküste von #Farmakonisi 18 Menschen gefunden. Sie wurden von einem Patrouillenboot der Hellenic Coast Guard nach #Leros und dann in das dortige CCAC gebracht.

A shipwreck with #refugees occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning in the sea area off Skala Sikamnia, Lesvos.

A total of six people of Afghan origin have been found dead. Specifically 3 women, 1 man, 1 boy and 1 girl. Reports indicate that 1 girl and 1 boy are missing and the search is ongoing.

Ναυάγιο με πρόσφυγες σημειώθηκε τις πρωινές ώρες της Πέμπτης στη θαλασσια περιοχή ανοιχτά της Σκάλας Σκαμνιάς.

UPDATE : Συνολικά έχουν εντοπιστεί επτά νεκροί αφγανικής καταγωγής. Συγκεκριμένα 3 γυναίκες, 1 άνδρας, 1 αγόρι και 2 κορίτσια.

Πληροφορίες αναφέρουν ότι αγνοείται 1 ακόμη παιδί

Μέχρι τώρα έχουν διασωθεί 23 πρόσφυγες.
