There are a lot more people selling second hand clothes than there are people buying them. I kinda knew that already, but trying to sell my own stuff has opened my eyes to how bad the problem is.
My body expanded significantly during pregnancy and those hips are never going to shrink back. So I’m selling stuff I know will never fit again. It’s good quality stuff, used by still in excellent state.
And I can’t sell it. No one is buying, even though I sell at about 10% of the new price. #clothes

Thanks to the latest WRAP report (Feb 2025) we finally have some statistics about how choosing to #repair our #clothes and buying #SecondHand is having an impact.

An elderly Taiwanese couple have become a viral sensation in Taiwan by wearing clothes left behind by their customers. After spending decades running a laundromat in the city of Taichung, the couple, 84 & 83, have now become a hit after their grandson created an account for them. Any item left at a laundromat for over a year is considered fair use.
