#MountainMonday is here and so is a timely image - the Border Peaks.

Split down the middle of the saddle is the line that forms the #US and #Canadian borders known as the 49th Parallel - the largest unprotected border in the world. With some tension increasing, I hope that everyone continues to remember the things that bring us all together, and not those that divide.

June 10, 1983: Mount Rogers' peak had no views, but I spent ten minutes savoring the sights and sweet aroma of a very New England-like woodland and feeling just a little bit homesick.

A very spring like day today in the Alpujarra with sunshine and showers expected throughout the day. This is Lanjarón.

For #MountainMonday an oldie from 2011 of the #Blüemlisalphorn from the slopes of the #Gehrihorn.

Adding to my folder of photos of my car in photogenic locales.

That's Kalalea Mtn in the background. The spiky peak is framed in the opening shot of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" as the Paramount logo fades to it.

Also it's the location of an excellent smoothie/acai bowel stand.

Indy + golden hour + Maui = magic.
