Democrats spent over a year telling us that #inflation wasn't a real issue & that it was all in our heads. They told us the economy's "great" & even condescendingly called it a "vibecession". That's just one of the many reasons why Democrats lost.

And if we look at historical events throughout the 20th-century, almost every country that had a #revolution went #socialist only after fascists had taken control of the country some years or decades earlier.
I apologize for my posts where I was basically doomposting saying #revolution will never happen in the #US.
That kind of attitude is why. #Fascism always gets defeated in the end; it never lasts more than a few decades at the most.
Interesting twist to do the fascism on your way into a #GreatDepression instead of the other way around.
It has been two weeks since a #Georgia woman was arrested for her #miscarriage, & not one major national #outlet has covered the story.
If there's any good news to take from all this it's that there's no longer any doubt that #neoliberalism is dead.
If you asked most people in this country to come up with $1000 immediately, they couldn't. THIS is where the country has been for years.
You need to read #theory. It's essential that you read theory. If you want to have an understanding, there's no replacing the words they wrote themselves. It's not glamorous, & at times, it feels like homework.
But the feeling of #liberation you feel once everything clicks.

Say what you want about #communists but most of them don't sell out their beliefs. Communists fight for the right things because they're the right things to fight for not because they feel they need to win some popularity contest.

This is also what I mean when I say liberals sell-out too easily. They're too willing to compromise on their ideals. If they think being more #conservative is the way to win #elections, then they move further right to try to appease these people.
