I had rented a #hosted #RaspberryPi from @beasts on a month by month basis. After just under a month of playing I decided I didn’t want to continue the subscription as I didn’t really have a use for it. I emailed them to cancel the subscription.

I got confirmation the same day, a small credit note (wasn’t expecting that) and an email discussion about what other services I might buy from them.

Pour ceux qui aiment le “PC fixe”, mais la grosse tour c'est... so 2010... ou qui aiment bien surfer, faire leur mail, ou bosser, ou regarder des vidéos dans le canapé, mais le portable, c'est bhoaf confort... Un #RaspberryPi 5 branché sur TV avec un clavier/souris sans fil c'est juste TOP confort.

Juste un petit clavier sans fil sur la table du salon ou les genoux, une souris ou un touchpad, un grand écran, une @manjaro.bsky.social #Linux #KDE, un bon navigateur genre Vivaldi, et t'es totalement père peinard.

Vergangene Tage habe ich mal getestet, welche Backup-Strategien es für Friendica-Posts gibt. Zum einen kann man das Friendica-Addon "WordPress Post Connector" nutzen, aber ich wollte dafür nicht extra einen WordPress-Blog ins Internet stellen, sondern die Beiträge bei mir im heimischen, lokalen Netzwerk sichern.

Verwendet eins von euch einen "1-Platinen-Computer", wie beispielweise den RaspberryPI als Ersatz für einen Desktop-PC oder Notebook?

Ein RaspberryPI 5 ist in einem kleinen Desktop-Gehäuse verbaut, in dem mehrere LED-Dioden den Innenraum beleuchten. Auf dem Schreibtisch steht ein 7- oder 10-Zoll-Display, vor dem eine winzige Bluetooth-Tastatur, mit Touch-Pad liegt. Niedliches Setup *hihi*

One of my #raspberrypi 4 accidentally got a few drops of rain while it was running and stopped working almost right away. I unplugged the power supply and cleaned it gently with a dry towel. After two days I plugged it back in and initially the LEDs were on. But it did not work anymore. And now, after a few hours on the power supply, the LEDs have died as well. Time to recycle?

Ich leg heute noch einen nach... :wink: nun habe ich noch die Anleitung für die Google-Photos - Alternative Immich geschrieben. Diese baut auf meine vorherige Installations-Anleitung für Docker und Portainer auf. Hiermit lässt sich in wenigen Minuten schnell und einfach eine eigene Photo-Cloud im lokalen Netzwerk installieren. Die passende App gibt es auch dafür.

Jetzt kann ich kein Update mehr machen. Die microSD Karte ist voll. Warum habe ich nur eine 4GB Karte für mein Pi-Hole verwendet. 🙄
