@RichardJMurphy there's nothing surprising about this. #Streeting is deep in the pockets of private medical corporations. His objective is to render the #NHS unworkable, so that those who can afford to flee to the private sector, and the remaining service can be allowed to deteriorate to the point that it no longer has supporters and can be axed.

After all, no one whose interests #Labour serves uses the NHS anyway – it is, as Thatcher said of public transport, just for losers.

@wood5y #nhs #AI #nhsIT Wes Streeting could be to some extent correct. I don’t know about hospitals but amongst those I know are some who go to the GP surgery at the drop of a hat. These are people with no impairment. Just worried well or hypochondriacs. As for IT and AI they should be very useful. BUT Unfortunately those who run NHS IT seem to make a pigs ear of it. My surgery keep making changes, all of which are visually awful, complex & often don’t work at all well.

"Health secretary Wes Streeting said trials of the scheme showed “encouraging signs” in slashing the number of heavy NHS users which he called “frequent flyers” of A&E departments."

Once again this apology for a government shows its contempt for those it was elected to serve.

The Independent · Health workers to go door-to-door under new NHS plans to tackle sickness rates across EnglandBy Alexander Butler

Yet more evidence (which I'm sure you don't really need) on the NHS crisis, this time the delay in transfers from ambulance to A&E is leading to 'car park care' & in extreme cases patients dying yards outside A&E while waiting to be admitted.

This crisis was engineered by the Tories, but now Labour needs to act urgently... yes, they 'inherited a broken NHS', but can an enhanced GP service quickly reduce this problem?

#RachelReeves has defended the £40bn in tax increases in autumn’s budget as businesses brace for their impact, saying #NHS waiting lists would now be higher if she had not taken action.
