There might be good and bad things about all this advertisement stuff like Firefox’ PPA, Googles Topics API etc., but there is a crucial thing which always makes these thing generally unacceptable:

They are introduced & enabled without properly telling people. Either it’s is done in silence or explained with weird obscure marketing speech.

That is the biggest issue.
